Is That Property CYL Certified?

You're looking for a new rental home. You've found CheckYourLandlord.com, so you know about the risks. What's the easiest way to know if the ownership has been verified, the mortgage is current, and the owner doesn't have a history of bankruptcy, criminal or civil judgments?
Just look for the CheckYourLandlord.com Certified Properties Seal on rental listings, websites and flyers!
The CheckYourLandlord.com Certified Properties Seal tells you that the property has already been verified by us, and has passed our strict criteria to qualify as a low-risk rental home. When you see the seal, click on it or snap a picture of the QR code near it, and it will take you to a page on our site specifically dedicated to that property, which will let you know if the certification is valid, and exactly who is authorized to rent that property to you. The certification page will look something like this.
The listing didn't have a certification seal? Ask the property manager or landlord if the property is CheckYourLandlord.com Certified. If not, let them know that you want to make sure that everything checks out before you rent. They'll appreciate that you are a concerned, conscientious tenant - it shows them that you are the type of person who is going to take good care of their property.
